What is ONSPEED? ONSPEED is the solution for millions of Internet users who are frustrated by having a slow Internet connection and is a real alternative to Broadband. ONSPEED is a software download which utilises a unique 9 patent approved compression technology that increases your existing Internet connection speed by up to 5 times. |

ONSPEED
is: Easy to install for PC and MACAvailable anywhere in the world works
with your existing ISP The end result is that your web pages and emails (PC only) load and download as quickly as if you were on a Broadband connection. When your web browser requests a Web Page, the ONSPEED software redirects that request to the ONSPEED Compression Servers. They take the respective Web Page content, compresses it and sends it back down to the ONSPEED software which decompresses it and sends it to the Browser requesting the information. At the moment we have dedicated algorithms for: Photo-realistic images
(e.g., JPEG, PNG, GIF, and BMP) Any data elements that we do not have a dedicated algorithm for gets compressed using a generic compression algorithm. This ensures that we can still get a 20-30% speed increase on these elements. |

| "Broadband
speeds on a 56k modem may seem like fantasy, but amazingly it does work." Graham Barlow - Chief Editor, Internet Advisor Magazine
ONSPEED will not accelerate browsing over HTTPS (secure websites) or accelerate file downloads or uploads such as MP3, exes or streaming media content (over FTP or file sharing programs). In future, ONSPEED are looking to add these features. ONSPEED does not increase the size of your internet connection. It compresses the data received hence speeding up your web browsing experience. ONSPEED does not replace your existing Internet Service Provider (ISP) and is to be used in conjunction with your existing Internet Service Provider (ISP). ONSPEED offers the following value-added service in addition to speeding up your web and e-mail usage: Integrated Diagnostic Support Tool, Pop-Up Blocker and Ad blocker. * For MAC and PocketPC
users, ONSPEED will only accelerate your web browsing. MAC and PocketPC
email acceleration is available use of a web mail service. If you do not
have a web mail service, we recommend Web2Mail, which can integrate with
your POP3 email accounts. Operating systems:Windows 98/NT/ME/2000/XP
Supported email programs: All Standard POP3- and IMAP-ompliant Email Programs Available disk space: 10MB (50 MB recommended) Total system memory (RAM): 128 MB minimum AOL Users: ONSPEED
is not compatible with the AOL browser, AOL dialup and broadband users
can use ONSPEED but we recommend using an alternative browser instead

| What
internet connection does ONSPEED work with and does ONSPEED replace my existing
Internet Service Provider (ISP)?ONSPEED works on all analogue dial up connections,
and all digital dial up connections (broadband and ISDN) with a speed of
under 300kbps (Excl. VPN's and certain satellite connections) . ONSPEED
does not replace your existing connection, it makes your current connection
faster. Can I use my existing telephone line at the same time as using ONSPEED?ONSPEED does not replace your current connection, it is software which accelerates it and therefore if you are not currently on broadband ONSPEED does not have the ability to free up your line. Does ONSPEED work in my country?ONSPEED works in any country worldwide. (excl. certain Middle East countries who connect via a proxy) Can I use ONSPEED with my mobile phone?Yes. There are two options, if your phone uses PocketPC 2003 and above then your can install ONSPEED on your phone, otherwise you must be connecting to the internet using a mobile phone from your PC or laptop which has the ONSPEED software installed. If you are using a GPRS connection, where you are charged for the data you up/down load, there is also the added benefit that, due to compression, your phone bill will be substantially lowered because of the reduction in data received. This can result in up to a 90% reduction in costs since mobile phone providers charge per MB downloaded. Web pages that normally take 25 seconds to load will load in less than 6 seconds. Wireless users on
a (9.6Kbps) regular mobile phone connection will feel that they are running
on a narrowband (56Kbps) connection with up to 5 times increase in speeds
including downloading of email. Please note: ONSPEED
does not speed up e-mail for MAC and PocketPC users. |
